You can try meditation on your desire at the snow peaks of the Himalayas, preferably siting erect and naked like the ancient sages were supposed to have done to attain ‘grand’ supernatural powers!!!!!!

The only thing I’ve ever come across that might be called a “law of attraction” is belief – but beliefs are nasty business.
I’m not sure how you’d go about conjuring one, willingly. If you want to acquire things by trickery, stick to plain, old thievery. But remember, things have their own preceding forces and are traveling their own paths.
I don’t know why people are so keen on having “things”. How long does the thrill last before you shift gears and start worrying about protecting it, keeping it or “upgrading” to something better? Where’s the payoff? All that rollercoastering for…well…things? Sometimes even only *one* thing. All the universe out there and someone wants that one thing?

What is called the secret (law of attraction) is really no secret at all.
If you’ve ever had the experience of wanting to buy a new car or had a desire to remember something you forgot, then you know what the law of attraction is.
How ?
Have you noticed that as soon as you’ve told yourself that you like a certain car and wonder what it would be like to have one, that EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK from then on, you keep seeing that type of car ?
Have you ever noticed that when trying to remember something you forgot, that it is more effective to tell yourself to “Relax, it will come back to you” than trying to FORCE yourself to remember?
The mechanism of “attraction” at work in both cases, but most especially in the answer to your question, is simply this: ACCEPTING, not wishing for, WHAT YOU WANT….NOW.
It’s very much like how a Tom-Tom or Garmin GPS system works in your automobile. You recognize that the GPS acts like a single system, right ? That’s because to IT, ALL the “points of reference” (i.e. places you CAN go) exist within the system…..NOW, no matter where YOU are in relation to ANY of them.
With some GPS models configured with 6 million or more “points of reference”, all YOU have to do is TELL THE GPS WHERE YOU WANT TO GO, so that the GPS can tell you HOW TO GET THERE ! Just as the GPS, in conjunction with orbiting satellites, all act as a single unit to convey your intention in this metaphor I described, so does your own mind, BUT…
….with a crucial difference between the GPS metaphor and Reality. And that is……that YOUR MIND works in conjunction with an “operating system”, which in Reality is…..the ENTIRETY OF CREATION, seen and unseen….operating AS ONE…..AT ONCE…..to do so.
TO YOUR QUESTION: “How long do you have to actually wish before it all comes true? ”
ANSWER: How long ? NOW !
Because the only time you CAN state your intent (desire) IS now. And the only time you can receive your desire (or solution, or arrive at your destination, etc.) IS now, as well. So between the time you ASK and the time you RECEIVE is…….only NOW !
THERE IS NO OTHER TIME, BUT NOW ! There IS NO past. There is no FUTURE ! What we call past or future is just a different part of NOW, that is not divided at ANY point or time, whatsoever. ALL IS NOW ! because ALL IS ONE, which includes you asking AND you receiving….and all times in between…..NOW. Do you see ?
We’ve been erroneously taught that FIRST we must ask, THEN we can receive. Why is that wrong ? Think about it.
The solutions we seek PRECEDE our need…..exactly like the availability of air precedes our need to breathe it.
If the answer (solution) were not ALREADY true, and truly within YOU…..you would not be ABLE to recognize (RE – cognize) the Truth of it AS the answer (solution) !!
2+2=4,….even BEFORE you compute it !! …..NOW, right ?
In the same way, ALL Principles of Life are True, Perfect, and Immutable….BEFORE you are even ABLE to know them or utilize them…..
When you understand that all the principles of Life are ALWAYS consistent with Truth, without variation, deviation, or attenuation for anybody, at any time, or any place, then you’ll begin to see that the real test in Life, is to live KNOWING the difference….between TRUTH and belief, and that the consequences of your actions WILL occur just as certainly as 2+2=4, truthfully, invariably, perfectly……and unavoidably.
So to answer the other part of your question, “if you wish to get richer do you have to state the approximate time like in a year?”
The answer is NO. WHY ??
To your mind, and in Reality, there is no “past” OR “FUTURE”, it’s ALL available NOW, in the PRESENT ! You just can’t ACCESS all that’s kept within this vast storehouse of your memories at once; you choose from among them rapidly, and selectively, based on what YOU TELL YOURSELF you need to know. You are constantly re-energizing, thoughts and feelings in a kind of continuous “calculation” of actions and alternatives, FROM which to choose, and UPON which to act, in the PRESENT.
You accept what you want now because you are ALREADY CONNECTED to whatever the solution is, or wherever it is……NOW.
“When you pray, pray believing that what you have asked is yours. It is done unto you as you believe.”
Substitute the word “KNOW” for “believe”.
“When you pray, pray KNOWING that what you have asked is yours. It is done unto you as you KNOW”……when you KNOW truly that it is so (without doubting).
Why ? Because doubt is really “accepting” an ALTERNATIVE outcome, WHILE HOPING that it doesn’t happen.
Using the GPS metaphor, again, doubt is like telling yourself where you want to go…..BUT INPUTTING A DESTINATION INTO THE GPS OTHER THAN THE ONE YOU SAY YOU REALLY WANT. Where do YOU think the “system” will take you……perfectly ? To the ALTERNATE destination YOU inputted, right ? Not to the solution you really wanted, BUT didn’t INPUT. Do you see ?
No different than how your OWN mind operates, in conjunction with the entirety of Creation WORKING AS ONE….PERFECTLY !….to take YOU to the “alternate” destination (solution) you TOLD YOURSELF about with doubt…. instead of the outcome you wanted !
THAT’S WHY you clearly state what you WANT TO HAPPEN (clarity), not what you HOPE DOESN’T HAPPEN (doubt).
THAT IS THE secret (law of attraction) ! …..ACCEPTING THAT WHAT YOU DESIRE IS ALREADY TRULY YOURS !!
…..EXACTLY LIKE 2+2=4 EVEN BEFORE YOU COMPUTE IT !
“Perfection does not come from projecting our own ideas but from awakening to the knowledge that it is already the established order of things.”…..as indicated in the reference.
Does the secret (law of attraction) really work?
YES !!!…… PERFECTLY ! as based on YOUR CLEARLY STATED and FIRMLY ACCEPTED INTENT (input) .
It’s not a matter of “if” our prayers are answered. It’s a matter of “when” we are ready to accept that which has always been ours.
You do NOT need to wish for the perfect solution, because it ALREADY IS TRUE ! Do NOT wish…..KNOW !
It is all about clarity of YOUR intent….stated IN THE PRESENT….and ACCEPTED IN THE PRESENT.
By YOU !
Because….the destination, or the solution, or the desire is NOT attracted TO you.
The destination, or the solution, or the desire is attracted AS you…
…see YOURSELF being !
YOU ARE the VERY experience OF the destination, or the solution, or the desire…..NOW !!
The law of attraction is really only 4 steps (think of the GPS):
1. CLEARLY ACCEPTING that what you want (i.e. where you want to go) already exists (RIGHT NOW !) BEFORE you experience it (i.e. “arrive”)
2. CLEARLY STATING TO YOURSELF what you want (where you want to be).
3.CLEARLY INPUTTING what you want into the very mechanism whose SOLE purpose is to RECEIVE and ACT UPON YOUR CLEAR INPUT…..your OWN MIND.
4.“LETTING” (not begging or forcing !) the system “TELL YOU HOW TO GET THERE” or “bring IT to YOU”.
NOTHING ABOUT THIS PROCESS involves ANY wishing or pleading or hoping, whatsoever.
IT IS ALL ABOUT KNOWING and ACCEPTING…BEFOREHAND, not about wishing or doubting !
Creation KNOWS where you are, IN RELATION to the destination, or the solution, or the desire….which EXISTS RIGHT THIS MOMENT, whether you are focused on it or not.
….because CREATION is One….and YOU are inseparably one with EVERYTHING in It. There are NO gaps or separations between you and ANYTHING in Creaton. All (including you) is ONE ! That’s how YOU are someone else’s solution, desire, or destination….ALREADY….get it?
(Consider all those cars you “suddenly” keep seeing, or how you “out of the blue” remember something you forgot) Do you see ?
ALL YOU NEED TO DO is accept that it’s yours….NOW…..and “let” ALL OF CREATION bring “it” TO you…or bring you TO your desire.

It would have been better if u stated what the exact technique u r using is. But i recommend u read self help books. I especially like books of Anthony Robbins… alot of life tricks in there. check them out!!!
